Where we have printers listed on our boxes it may only be a selection of the range rather than a conclusive list, especially if the range of printers is particularly large.

The easiest way to check compatibility with your printer if you're not sure is to compare the cartridge code found on the box with the cartridge code of those already in your printer.

In the event of an error after cartridge installation, the first thing to check is which cartridge or cartridges are showing the error. Your MG7550 printer display will show a graphical representation of any cartridges that are not recognised.

If two or more cartridges are not recognised please check they are all installed into the correct cartridge position in the print head. If only one cartridge is showing an error it is worth removing to check the chip is clean and fully attached in the correct position, before reinstalling to make sure the cartridge is seated correctly.

Many compatible Ink Cartridges used to be available with or without microchips. Those sold without microchips required customers to take the chips off their old cartridge and place onto the new cartridge. We only sell cartridges that are fully chipped and ready to install to ensure a simple no fuss installation!

We list two diferent Multipacks for the PGI550/CLI551 range of cartridges depending on the printer model.

One is a 5 cartridge set containing PGI-550BK, CLI-551BK, CLI-551C, CLI-551M and CLI-551Y, and the other is a 6 cartridge set containing the previously listed cartridges plus the CLI-551GY.
