The wireless PIXMA MX892 enables home workers to access and print materials through tools like Google Cloud Print and PIXMA Cloud Link.
Cloud computing – the storage of data on the internet rather than on physical servers – is growing in popularity as more firms and consumers use social networking sites and web-based email systems.
This print, copy, scan and fax machine allows users to send Gmail messages, file attachments and some Google Docs to be sent for printing from any computer, tablet device or smartphone.
The MX892's built-in mobile app, Canon Easy-PhotoPrint, allows users to scan documents on the printer and send to Apple and Android-operated smartphones.
"With users increasingly utilising the cloud to store important documents and images, it is imperative to provide an easy way for these materials to be printed easily when they are needed," said Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Technologies & Communications Group, Canon.
"The variety of connectivity options supported by the PIXMA MX892 Office All-in-One printer allows the flexibility to do just that, and provides the users with the comfort of knowing that the end result will be high-quality."
This latest addition to the PIXMA range also hosts five individual ink cartridge tanks with a maximum colour resolution of 9600 x 2400 dots-per-inch.
Look out for ink for the MX892 coming soon!
