Canon updates large-format printers

Sometimes even an A3 printer isn’t big enough for the task at hand. Canon’s updated range of imagePrograf large-format printers are offering output of up to 36 inches wide at up to 2000x1200dpi.

These printers are targeted at a variety of industries including architecture, engineering and construction. They can also be used for retail signage as well as general office use where larger prints may be required.

The iPF765 and the iPF760 (replacing the iPF755 and iPF750) feature front loading of media and ink so the printer can be installed against a wall, horizontal stacking to keep A1 output flat, access control and accounting functions to help monitor and estimate the cost of each printing job for recharging and billing purposes.

The iPF765 also includes a 250GB hard drive to help those sharing the printer among multiple computers and to meet the needs of those printing complex images.

James Casey, a spokesperson for Cannon Australia, stated "The update to the imagePrograf printers represents Canon's dedication to companies in the large format printing market."

Prices are yet to be announced.
