Canon extends smart laser range

07 March 2012

The i-SENSYS LBP6680x and i-SENSYS LBP6670dn are primarily targeted at small businesses. The black-and-white multi-function machines are designed to meet companies' varied printing needs.

Both the LBP6680x and LBP6670dn offer print speeds of 33 pages-per-minute, can print double-sided documents and are easily navigable by a central LCD control panel. With a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dots-per-inch users can also expect high-quality prints.

Canon's device management tool, eMaintenance, means consumables are closely monitored so that ink, toner and paper supplies don't run low. "No two organisations' print and imaging demands are the same," said Anil Jagpal, European marketing manager for laser at Canon Europe. "Our new generation of smart laser printers play a central role in our ability to provide a balanced print solution to suit the needs of any business."

The printers are also compatible with uniFLOW, a tool designed to manage print and scanning jobs that allows businesses to manage their print processes. They also have built-in security features like user authentication and job selection that give users additional access to sensitive documents.

Both printers go on sale on May 1st – the i-SENSYS LBP6670dn is priced at £219, the i-SENSYS LBP6680x £299.

Look out soon for the i_SENSYS toners coming to INKredible!
